class description |
Hatha Yoga for All Levels
Slow paced and gentle Hatha Yoga class with awareness to breath. To obtain the maximum benefits of each pose, this class tends to pay attention to bodily alignment and hold poses longer. Classical yoga style, especially designed for an easy and enjoyable yoga experience. Suitable for beginners to intermediate level. |
Vinyasa Flow Level 1 & 2-3
More vigorous style based on the performance of a series of poses called Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) in which movement is matched to the breath. Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement. Level 1 for beginners and Level 2-3 introduces more challenging poses. |
Restorative Yoga
Mainly supine or reclining poses are performed. By supporting the body comfortably with props, the body is alternately stimulated and relaxed to move toward balance. Effective for relieving chronic stress. |
Yin Yang Yoga
A combination of dynamic yang style yoga and quiet yin style yoga. A half of class is Vinyasa Flow in which movement is matched to the breath. It emphasizes internal heat and helps to build both muscle strength and flexibility. The other half is Yin Yoga which targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a yang style of asana practice. |
Ladies Yoga Club
This class is especially designed for those who are going through the menopause.
The class combines both gentle hatha yoga and restorative yoga - hatha yoga to strengthen the joints and muscles, and restorative yoga to relax the body and mind.
The intention of the class also is to offer a supportive environment to ladies affected by the menopause. |
Restorative Yoga Workshop
The workshop is held on the 3rd Sunday of every month. The participants are asked to pair up and this enables them to experience both being in restorative poses and setting up the poses for their partner. During the workshop, how to use the various props as well as the modifications for each pose are explored. |

What to wear and what to bring
Wear comfortable clothes that do not restrict your movements or breathing. Yoga is always practiced in bare feet. We provide all the equipment, including mats, so no need to bring anything. Having said that a towel might be handy, especially during the warm months.

Before you attend a class
We recommend you arrive 10 minutes before classes start. Please be punctual so that other students won't be disturbed.
We do not recommend eating a large meal within 2 - 3 hours of a class - if you must eat within 2 - 3 hours of a class then a light meal or snack that it easily digested is best.
Certain poses should be avoided during menstruation. Speak to your teacher for more information.
Be sure to let your teacher know before a class if you have any form of injury or serious illness, or if you are pregnant or have recently had a baby.
